Charles Stewart Speed died on 26 August 1856 in Weakley County, TN. He is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, across from the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, south of Martin, TN at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Old Troy Road.
